AstraZeneca, Europe’s second-largest drugmaker, has presented a comprehensive, 30-page response to the US Food and Drug Administration urging the agency to remove Public Citizen’s Health Research Group’s petition to ban its cholesterol-lowering drug Crestor (rosuvastatin) from the market, saying that it provides no scientific basis, is inaccurate and must be denied.
